My main scientific interests are in cosmology and theoretical astrophysics. My research focuses on the cosmic epoch when galaxies, stars and black holes first appeared in the Universe. I plan to summarize my current and past research projects more extensively on the web: Cosmology and Galaxy Formation Group. I will also post a few research ideas suited for PhD thesis or shorter research projects there.
Prior to coming to Maryland I spent time at the IoA in Cambridge, UK, the University of Colorado in Boulder, and Arcetri in Florence, Italy (my hometown).
