• The Maryland Junior Open was an annual event in the Baltimore area, but attracting a large number of players from the tri-state (MD, DC, VA). In 2015 we decided to use a new gym in the DC suburbs, and are thus renaming the event to the DC Junior Open (DCJO).
• The 2015 DCJO is a USAB ranking tournament, see current Jr. ranking.
• Registration: use tournamentsoftware.com for registration. You can also find draws and matches here now. For convenience here is a listing of all first three matches, and times, for most players.
• Sanction: The tournament is USAB sanctioned and will follow all its rules and regulations. All players need to be a USAB member, or purchase a new membership ($40/year invidual, or $50/year clubs). For U11 through U19 you need an individual USAB membership to participate, for U9 and U25 a USAB club membership is sufficient since it is not part of ranking.
  NOTE: We highly recommend you register/update your membership using the USAB railstation website first, and then register for DCJO. Also print out your USAB membership card and bring it with you to the tournament.
  You MUST bring your USAB membership card so we can verify name and expiration dates.

• Events: BS, GS, BD, GD, XD (played in U9, U11, U13, U15, U17, U19, and U25) . A maximum of 3 events per player is allowed, a maximum of 2 same events and notcover more than 2 age brackets. Eligibilty determined by age as of 31-Dec-2015. Events may be combined if too few participants, at the discretion of the organizing committee.
  NOTE: We have 8 or 9 courts available, and once we have received 150 valid entries (this includes partners or the respective doubles/mixed teams), we may have to place players on a waiting list.
• Format: For events with 2,3,4 or 5 entries we play round robin, for 6 and 7 entries a group A and B round robin, followed by semi-finals of the top 4, and then a finals. For 8 and up, we play the normal double elimination in a full draw.
• Shuttles: We will use Yonex AS-40 shuttles.
• Registration & Fees: Entry fees will be $65 for first two events, and $15 for the third event. This includes a new $5 USAB Court Official Fee, the $3 Junior Ranking fee and a $1 NEBA fee. To enter, complete the online form and payment options. Entries must be received no later than midnight Wednesday February 11, 2015. This is also the deadline for refunds if you decide to remove events.

     9.00am - 3.00pm     Gym time (maybe some Semi-Finals but all Finals in U13 and up games)
