I am a radio astronomer focussing on the interstellar medium and star formation in nearby galaxies, primarily using radio interferometers at millimeter and centimeter wavelengths. I am a member of the CARMA EDGE collaboration, which has mapped carbon monoxide (CO) and isotopes in 125 galaxies from the CALIFA sample. Recently, I have developed interests in active galactic nuclei (AGN) using the Swift BAT AGN sample. I have an interest in optical instrumentation, in particular Fabry-Perot spectroscopy. I am also part of the GROWTH partnership which aims to follow up optical transients; I am particularly interested in those detected with the Zwicky Transient Facility (ZTF). I am interested in increasing the number of under-represented minorities in astronomy and participate in programs such as GRAD-MAP.
