SSH Clients
There is one ways to access the Astronomy Department's computers via secure shell terminal (SSH) from external machines:
- PuTTY (download)
PuTTY is a free implementation of SSH for Windows and Linux platforms, along with an xterm terminal emulator. Applications for Secure Copy (scp) and Secure File Transfer Protocol (sftp) are also available. The PuTTY suite is written and maintained primarily by Simon Tatham. The PuTTY application size is 444 KB.
